Ty West Langford is quite laid back about his work, but always pushing to get his images perfect. He believes that every photo is a moment, captured for eternity. That every image is beautiful because it tells a story, that one image, one moment, can become one hundred lifetimes. Each person takes something new from the image and notices something different. Photography should also be what the eye sees, the only Photoshop Ty uses is colour enhancing. He believes, especially with nature shots, that they are already beautiful, that Mother Nature has already made it beautiful, and the image needs to be present is such a way. The photograph should not trick the mind, Ty’s aim is that when you are letting the photo wash over you, that you should feel like that you are there. Ty also works with videography, taking short ‘documenters’ of his travels, also trying to make the viewer feel the same feelings and emotions that he himself felt while in the moment.
